Aksa Beach Aksa Beach is located in Aksa Village, at Malad; very close to Malvani. The beach extends to INS Hamla at one end, which serves as a base of the Indian Navy and another small beach called Daana Paani is also located here. One of the least visited beaches of Mumbai, Aksa is popular among youngsters for weekend getaways. The beach is lined with a number of private cottages and hotels, which is often rented out to tourists. A long stroll at this beach is not too much to ask for, unlike the other Mumbai coastlines. Tujhe Aksa Beach Ghuma Doon, the lyrics from the famous Salman Khan song was edification for a lot of Mumbaikars few knew a place like this existed in the the city. Over the period however, the crowd visiting the beach has constantly increased and more people are now visiting the beach for some quality time. How to Reach Aksa is closest to Malad station; however it is also at a convenient distance from Borivali station. One can take bus no. 271 from Malad Station or bus no. 269 from Borivali station. The drive to Aksa Beach is something you rarely witness on the streets of Mumbai. The Madh-Marve road leading up to the beach is a pleasant change from the everyday traffic and smog that pollutes our life. Thats why even the drive towards the beautiful beach is soothing and scenic; that you will thoroughly enjoy. People travelling by western line can de-board at Malad or Borivali station. Central line commuters have to travel towards Dadar and then change their train for Malad. Whereas, people travelling by harbour line can take the Panvel-Andheri train and then take a connecting train to Malad. From the station, one can take the bus mentioned above or an auto which would approximately cost Rs. 85-110 one way, depending on the traffic. Best time to Visit Since the beach is a public space, it is accessible to the masses all day long. However, movement on the beach is restricted because of the narrow coastline and due to its proximity to the Indian Naval Base that includes INS Hamla. The beach is not considered safe for swimming due to the presence of high tides and sinking sand. It is best touted to visit Aksa between October and March, when Mumbai observes less humidity. If you ever visit this beach on a Sunday morning, you will be in for a treat, for it is filled with the local boys playing Indias favourite sport: cricket. As mesmerizing as the sunrise looks from this oh-so-amazing beach, trust us when we say, the Mumbaikar in you will get a fair dose of cricket nostalgia. The beach Aksa is pristine and one of the least polluted beaches of Mumbai. The beach has a huge stretch of natural sands, where you can actually walk barefoot, without posing any risk to your feet. With only a few food stalls, you can go for whatever entices you the most. Eating options include sandwich, sev puri, golawalas, corn shacks and candyfloss and in spite of the presence of stalls along the coastline, similar to the other Mumbai beaches; Aksa still remains the cleanest beach because of the organized garbage disposal system. Marve also serves as a getaway to various other locations close to Aksa and Marve such as Essel World and Water Kingdom. Global Vipassana Pagoda: A beautiful majestic spiritual place dedicated to meditation and finding inner peace and solace, the Global Vipassana Pagoda is set a ferry ride from Aksa Beach. Dana Paani Beach:As mentioned above, Dana Paani beach is a small extended front of the Aksa Beach which is a great visit for photographers because of the photo op that this place provides. Shri Hiradevi Temple: Shri Hiradevi Temple is dedicated to the local goddess and finds huge local crowds gathering at the temple to pay their respects.Best Time
