Kasol is sometimes referred to as Mini Israel, due to the presence of several Israelis in the town, who end up staying more than a few weeks, if not months. Catering to their tastes, most of the cafés in the town of Kasol and nearby offer some great authentic dishes from Israel, perfected over the past several years to taste exactly how the Israeli population likes it. If you are in Kasol, make sure that you try some of these dishes.
Indulge in a sport that the tourists and locals call café hopping, which means you should go from café to café trying out new dishes. Most of these cafés offer indoor and outdoor seating, with funky neon lights and posters, giving the place a psychedelic look. The seating is mostly on mattresses on the floor, which are utterly comfortable. Expect rock music at most of these cafés. But the best part about these cafés is their food, so make sure you try Israeli dishes such as Hummus, Pita bread, Chicken shipudim, Shakshouka, Lafa and much, much more.
